Sky-lines is a kite club from Dieppe, New Brunswick, Canada
The club was founded in October 2002 to meet a growing need for kite
flyers in southeastern New Brunswick. We wished to have an organization
that fosters kite flying as a group activity. The Club includes
amateurs and a few professional wannabe's, who want to maximize their
pleasure and abilities as kite flyers.
We regularly fly as a group at the Dover Park in St-Anselme, Dieppe (Sunday
1pm to 3pm). More occasions are organized as soon as the warmth shows
up with longer daylight hours. We learn much from contacts between
members and other interested parties. We organize small trips in the
immediate area or farther away to meet other enthusiasts like us.
All kite flying methods are encouraged: static, single line, double and
quad line, traction etc.
Our Club is born from a desire to play with the vastness of the sky and
the power of the wind. To share our emotions with other crazy people
like us, whether the wind is weak or strong, we gather for the pleasure
of the sensation offered to us through the practice of kite
flying… to exchange stories…. to live our
passion. It allows us to pay more attention to our environment and to
sense the wind's direction and it's awesome force… to
discover a family with all eyes turned to the sky looking for those
precious wind currents.
As such, even if the winds are extremely weak, we will also have the
pleasure of exchanging ideas to encourage the public to discover our
activity and to pass on our passion…
